The BAD news WAS... due to circumstances beyond our control we had to postponed our First Annual Summit & Retreat in November 2022 to February 2023.

Nestled in Treaty 6 territory near the Onion Lake Cree Nation, this event is being hosted at a lakeside residence about 15 minutes from of Lloydminster, AB. Carpooling is available (and encouraged!) so add your requests and offers when you register!WHAT will we be doing there?
Conversation, professional development workshops, playtime, star and aurora gazing (or shooting), nature walks by day or night, Uncomfortable Conversations with our Special Guests, naps, and whatever else ends up happening. Registration is $275 which includes all programming, instruction, materials, snacks, beverages, and meals, plus the chance to take home some most-excellent swag and prizes. You can book a hotel in Lloydminster and commute, or book in for on-site accommodation at the lakeside residence for as little as $50/night.Do you qualify for a discount?
A $50 discount is automatically applied to registrations received on or before January 8th, 2023. If you are alumni of The Shooting Range Season One or Two (Challenger, Guest or Panel Judge, Sponsor or Donor) you are eligible for an additional $50 off your invoice. There are payment plans and additional discounts available for individuals who need financial assistance - please include this information on your registration.
Funds collected from Registrations pay for the hard costs of the event including the venue rental, foods and beverages, and programming materials; any monies collected in excess of actual costs is directed towards the Foundation's core operating expenses.
WHO will be there?
ATTENDEES ARE: creative professionals (photographers/videographers, HMUAs, models, fashion designers, advertising and marketing specialists, social media managers, etc.) as well as anyone who hires, works for, relies on, or collaborates with the photographic arts community.
HOSTS AND ORGANISERS ARE: Rare Earth's Board of Directors (including the co-creators of The Shooting Range: A Photography Challenge)
SPECIAL GUESTS ARE: volunteers and special guests including a model, workshop facilitators, and folks willing to answer questions during the Uncomfortable Conversations taking place each night.
